Archie Liggat (Trustee, UK National Chairman and Regional Coordinator for Scotland) Archie was born and brought up in the Highlands of Scotland. After graduating from Glasgow University with an Honours BSc in Aeronautics, he joined the Royal Air Force as an air defence fighter pilot flying fast jets. An A1 category Qualified Flying Instructor and Tactics Instructor on 2 different types, he also flew as solo display pilot during the last year of the F4 Phantom in RAF service. Following 4 years as Officer Commanding Nos 234 and 19 Squadrons, he moved to civil airlines in 1996 where he spent the next 20 years flying the Airbus A320 and Boeing 747. Archie is now fully retired, has been a member of Sky Watch since 2009 and has amassed over 19,000 flying hours. He lives in St Andrews.

Garry Sutherland (Trustee and UK National General Secretary & Treasurer) 
Garry was brought up in Scotland and graduated with a Master of Arts in Management with Distinction and Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Criminology. After 32 years experience as a professional and leader within the police service, he eventually retired as a Deputy Chief Constable having served in a wide range of operational and management roles and led on a number of key Strategic Business Areas for Scotland. Since 2007 he has run a small tourism business providing luxury cruises on Loch Ness. A former Chair of the Board of Management of Inverness College UHI and Chair of the Highland Third Sector Partnership, he is also a Director of Higher Ground Community Services Limited, a company established in 2011 to provide high quality community services. Garry lives near Inverness. 


Graham Broom (Trustee and Regional Coordinator for England and Wales)
Graham is originally from Kent and his professional life has been a series of unplanned but enjoyable changes of direction that has taken him from Medical Research to a national role in the UK Police Service. He retired from the Police in 2009 as an Assistant Chief Officer and was awarded an MBE for Services to Policing in 2006. After a few years providing information security consultancy he is now completely retired and joined Sky Watch in 2012. Flying was a life long ambition and he has held a PPL for over 30 years. He also has a night rating and an Instrument Rating (R) (the old IMC). He lives and flies from central Cambridgeshire and also serves as the Chief Pilot for the Eastern Area of Sky Watch.

Paul Trimble (Trustee and Regional Coordinator for Northern Ireland)
Paul has trained with the RAF in sea, arctic, jungle and desert survival and SAR on an annual basis for a number of years whilst he was a flight test engineer on military experimental aircraft. He holds a UAV commercial instructor and examiner rating along with a private pilot’s fixed wing licence. Paul also serves as Chief Pilot for Sky Watch NI which is currently the only region of UK Civil Air Patrol to be operating both manned and unmanned aircraft on a regular basis. Manned operations in NI began in 2011 with Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) being signed by both NIFRS and PSNI. Unmanned operations followed a year later.
